Plasterer in Xàtiva

In Xàtiva and La Costera we work largely on townhouses and restorations, where traditional lime stucco remains the right choice.

The old houses in the historic centre tend to have thick masonry walls that need to breathe. A plastic-based coating is a mistake there: it traps moisture and eventually lets go. Lime stucco allows vapour through and keeps the wall healthy.

Being inland, Xàtiva has a drier climate and wider temperature swings than the coast. We adjust curing times and mortar mix to those conditions, particularly in summer, when applying too fast causes cracking.
